Alexandria, Va., Tops Amazon Best-Read Cities List

Nice to know that I live in an area that enjoys reading books.  I'm a little worried about their statistical method though- has my Amazon addiction skewed the results?  Because I buy a lot of books.  If another list has the northern Virginia among the top music sales areas for the country, especially for actual CDs, then I know it because of me.

Alexandria, Va., Tops Amazon Best-Read Cities List
(Associated Press, May 15, 2012)

Alexandria, Va., is having a love affair with books.  The historic suburb outside of Washington, D.C., tops Amazon.com's list of best-read cities per capita over the past year, based on sales of books, newspapers and magazines. Romance novels are especially popular in Alexandria, according to the online retailer, which released the list Tuesday. Alexandria was immediately followed by several college towns: Cambridge, Mass.; Berkeley, Calif.; Ann Arbor, Mich.; and Boulder, Colo. Municipalities on the list all have populations of more than100,000.  Rounding out the top 10 were Miami, Fla.; Arlington, Va.; Gainesville, Fla.; Washington, D.C.; and Salt Lake City.
